Shuttle

A shuttle will be available from 9:00-11:45 p.m. to ensure guests return to their accommodations in Jenner safely. On Sunday morning, our families will be happy to help return rental cars to guests who use the shuttle.

Schedule

The Charles M. Schulz Airport in Santa Rosa, CA is approximately 45 minutes from Jenner. The San Francisco International Airport is approximately 2.5 hours from Jenner. A rental car will be needed to get to Jenner. Please note that phone service is inconsistent along the coast. Type in the directions to your exact location (e.g., Driftwood Lodge OR your own accommodations) prior to leaving the airport to ensure a smooth trip.

Airports

Because our wedding is taking place on a holiday weekend, we highly recommend booking your lodging as soon as possible. There are several options near Driftwood Lodge. <a href="https://fortrosslodge.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Fort Ross Lodge</a> is located across the road from the wedding venue, and is the most convenient option. You'll be able to walk to the welcome party and wedding. There's also a very small convenience store with deli across the street for snacks and sandwiches. <a href="https://www.oceancovelodge.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Ocean Cove Lodge</a> is a budget-friendly option that is a 7-minute drive north of the wedding venue. In addition to the motel, there is a casual bar and grill on the property. For a more elevated stay, <a href="https://www.timbercoveresort.com/about/location/?gad_source=1&amp;gad_campaignid=21411186146&amp;gbraid=0AAAAA91IlP4hsXa9hyTJFq5w8bIeRzQ3l&amp;gclid=Cj0KCQjwwZDFBhCpARIsAB95qO3jewkH7xsVfDiciWYraLC9usIjTy16sKrztSfNxI5x-Lp0-NfWsVEaAuXyEALw_wcB" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Timber Cove Resort</a> is a 2-minute drive to the wedding venue. Timber Cove has an ocean-view restaurant and an outdoor gathering area with billiards, ping pong, and fire pits. There are some rental homes in the area as well. Please consider the venue location when searching. Travel

Travel Tips

Before reaching the coast, make sure you've entered your destination in your GPS. Service can be very spotty, especially as you get closer to Jenner. It's a good idea to pick up your favorite snacks, drinks, and toiletries in Santa Rosa or San Francisco — the options in and around Jenner are very limited.

San Francisco to Jenner: The fastest way

Departing from SF, you’ll drive inland through Marin County along the 101 and transition to farm roads once you hit Petaluma. You have a few fantastic options for lunch along this route in Marin, including Hook Fish Co, In N Out, or RH Rooftop if you’re feeling fancy. If you like beer, stop at the iconic Lagunitas Brewing or Henhouse. For a funky ‘locals only’ experience, stop for a long lunch at Rocker Oysterfellers in Valley Ford - or grab-and-go at Valley Ford Creamery. Once you get to the scenic coastal roads, you’ll pass through Bodega Bay where there’s a great little winery called Sonoma Coast Vineyards.

San Francisco to Jenner: The scenic route

If you drive Highway 1 all the way up from SF, there are endless amazing stops along the way! We recommend stopping in Point Reyes Station for lunch, where you have several great options like Brickmaiden Breads and Side Street Kitchen. Whatever you do, don’t miss the buffalo milk gelato at Palace Market. They have a great sandwich bar, too! For a unique local experience, we also recommend stopping at Heidrun Meadery to try some honey and sparkling mead. You’ll also pass through Marshall, which has great oyster and seafood options like The Marshall Store or Hog Island Oyster (reservations are required here, but you can always try your luck!)

The Drive

Brunch at Cafe Aquatica

Start your day at <a href="https://www.cafeaquatica.com/#/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Café Aquatica</a>, a charming roadside retreat for a casual meal and a hot cup of coffee. Enjoy breakfast pastries, yogurt parfaits, savory sandwiches or bagels with cream cheese and lox. The café deck overlooks a beautiful estuary, offering views of local flora and fauna. Live music plays from 11-3pm on the weekends!

Outdoor Adventures

If you're seeking some fun out of the water, take a short drive south on Highway 1 to Goat Rock Beach, which offers&nbsp;views of immense sea stacks (tall, rocky columns that rise out of the ocean), white-capped waves, sand dunes, and the massive, flat-topped rock that gives the beach its name. The spot is popular for birdwatching and hiking, and features several trails, including&nbsp;<a href="https://www.sonomacounty.com/outdoor-activities/kortum-trail" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Kortum Trail</a>, a 4.6-mile loop that connects <a href="https://www.sonomacounty.com/outdoor-activities/blind-beach" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Blind Beach</a>, <a href="https://www.sonomacounty.com/outdoor-activities/shell-beach" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Shell Beach</a>, and <a href="https://www.sonomacounty.com/lodging/wrights-beach" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Wright's Beach</a>. Or, if you’re feeling more adventurous, the 6.2-mile&nbsp;Pomo Canyon Trail follows the historical trading route of the Pomo and Miwok peoples and leads hikers into a redwood forest with a waterfall.

Fort Ross State Park

Located 11 miles north of Jenner on scenic California Highway One, Fort Ross is surrounded by sandy beaches, panoramic coves, and redwood forests, with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Salt Point State Park, 8 miles north of Fort Ross, covers 6,000 acres on the coast of Northern California, with 20 miles of hiking trails and over 6 miles of rocky coastline. These destinations offer pristine landscapes, recreation, fascinating history, underwater parks with fishing, shipwrecks, and scuba diving, and more.&nbsp;

Sophie's Cellars Wine Bar

Searching for a casual, hidden gem wine bar? <a href="https://sophiescellars.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Sophie's Cellar </a>may be your vibe! It's noted to have a comprehensive wine selection, a beautiful patio surrounded by flowers, good music, and even a friendly cow that may come by to say hello.

Kayaking with Water Treks Eco Tours

Nature and outdoor enthusiasts can live out their vacay dreams via a kayaking tour with <a href="https://www.sonomacounty.com/outdoor-activities/water-treks-ecotours-and-kayak-rentals" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">WaterTreks EcoTours</a>, owned by Suki Waters, a local Native American guide and kayak instructor. Visitors can explore quiet estuaries or the Pacific Ocean while learning about local wildlife, Sonoma County history, and more.

Fort Ross Vineyard
